The Batab Militia are Mayan commoners who are recruited from their crafts or from the fields, where many work as labourers. They are headed by a Batab officer who reports to a Nacom. As these militia are not highly regarded they are only issued with clubs, however they do gain the added protection of padded ichcahuipilli armour and shields.
