The Battle of Alesia!

Panoramic8.png The new Total War ROME II: Caesar in Gaul downloadable campaign pack brings with it the battle of Alesia, a new historical battle for ROME II which artfully recreates the engagement in which Caesar finally conquered Gaul, enabling him to return home under arms and become sole dictator, ending the days of the Roman republic forever.

Alesia was a fearsome test of endurance and generalship for Caesar, and puts players through the formidable challenges he faced. With the hilltop fort of Alesia under siege, players must weather attacks on two fronts: from Vercingetorix’ forces within the fort itself, and from a huge Gallic relief army.

The Charge of the Nomadic Tribes!

NomadPanocrop.jpg We’ve taken another colossal ROME II panoramic screenshot, this time featuring the exotic mounted warriors of the Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack.

The Tribes of Scythia, the Massagetae and the Roxolani offer a distinctly different style of play, as they focus almost exclusively on mounted warriors. Born in the saddle to ride the wild, hardy steeds of The Steppes to war, they are poised to rain havoc on the ‘civilised’ peoples of the ancient world. You can see them in formation-shattering action against the forces of Rome.

The Once Biggest Total War Screenshot Ever

CarthagePanoramicbanner.png

Want to see the biggest Total War screenshot ever? Clicking the image above will open up a page with a panorama viewer, showing off Carthage in all its 29063 x 3872 glory!

A secret code was hidden within (see if you can find it, too), cryptically linking to a YouTube video. A lucky first person who spotted it first and worked out how to access the link won a Total War Grand Master Collection code (all games + DLC) and became the first person in the world to reserve their copy of Rome II. They did well.

We'll be debuting more cool stuff like this on the wiki in future, so keep it bookmarked!
